These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Stepforth Wealth (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

The service

Stepforth provides personal-finance tools — account aggregation (via Plaid), budgeting, goals, and AI-generated insights — to help you understand and grow your finances. The Service is for personal, informational purposes.

Not financial advice

Stepforth is not a bank, broker, or registered investment adviser, and the Service — including AI-generated insights — is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions; consider consulting a licensed professional.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We recommend enabling multi-factor authentication.

Bank connections

When you link a financial institution through Plaid, you authorize us to retrieve read-only financial data to provide the Service. You can disconnect institutions at any time. Connectivity depends on third parties (Plaid and your institution) and may be interrupted outside our control.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to access data that isn't yours, disrupt or probe the Service's security, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Your content & data

You retain ownership of the data you provide. You grant us a limited license to process it solely to operate and provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export and delete your data at any time.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stepforth is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
